Scope against the bottleneck
I start by finding what is actually slowing you down, which is often not the thing you were about to pay someone to build. Then I scope to that, and say so if the honest answer is a smaller job.
I’m Ry
Founder & engineer, Evenbuilt
I have run operations across software, retail, apparel and physical product. That range is the point: the same bottleneck shows up in five different industries wearing five different costumes, and after a while you stop being surprised by it.
I do the work myself. There is no team behind me producing slide decks, which means the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it and the person you call when something breaks.
[Philosophy] ↘
I enjoy simplifying complex ideas and turning them into tools people can actually use.
My work sits somewhere between engineering and operations, where structure matters as much as experience.
Building products that are reliable, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

I keep things simple and direct, so everyone knows what is being built, what is done, and what comes next. No status theatre, no surprise invoices.
003
I build with structure in mind, so the product stays easy to improve and scale. You should be able to hand it to someone else without an archaeology dig.
004
The goal is a system you run without me. Documented, boring where boring is correct, and free of anything clever that only I understand.

Most work is remote, but some processes only make sense once you have stood on the warehouse floor. If you are in LA County, I can come to you.
