[The bottleneck]
Production tracking lived in eleven spreadsheets maintained by four people, each with a slightly different idea of what a batch was. Nobody could answer what was actually on the floor.
[What I built]
A production board with one definition of a batch, built around how the floor already worked rather than an idealised process. Barcode input, offline tolerance, and a printable end-of-shift view.
[The result]
One source of truth for what is in production. Shift handover went from a twenty minute conversation to a glance at a screen.
