Who we are

Evenbuilt ("we", "us") is a software and automation studio run by Ry in Los Angeles, California. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions or requests: hello@evenbuilt.com.

What we collect

When you use the contact form

• —Name and email address, so we can reply.
• —Your project description, budget range and timeline, so the reply is useful.
• —The page you sent the form from and the time you agreed to this policy, as a record of your consent.

Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in the form. We do not need them at the enquiry stage.

When you email us

Whatever you include in the email, plus your email address and name as your mail client sends them.

When you visit the site

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information with each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. We do not use it to identify or profile you.

When you become a client

Contact and billing details needed to run the project and invoice you. If a project needs access to your systems or data, that access and how we handle the data is set out in the project agreement, and we only use it to do the work you asked for.

What we do not collect

• —No analytics or tracking scripts, and no advertising pixels.
• —No cookies. See the cookie policy.
• —No information bought from data brokers or third parties.

Why we use it

• —To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project (your consent, and steps you ask us to take before entering a contract).
• —To deliver and invoice work for clients (performance of a contract).
• —To keep records required for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
• —To keep the site running and secure (our legitimate interest in operating a safe website).

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Who we share it with

We never sell or share personal information for advertising. It is only handled by the services we use to run the business: Web3Forms (form delivery), Railway (hosting), our email provider, and, for clients, accounting and payment providers. We may also disclose it if the law requires.

How long we keep it

• —Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
• —Client contact and billing records: for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, typically seven years.
• —Hosting request logs: kept by the hosting provider for a short period for security and fault finding.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it. You can withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

• —California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We honour Global Privacy Control signals.
• —People in the UK, EU and EEA also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to their local data protection authority.

To make a request, email hello@evenbuilt.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days (45 days where California law allows).

Security and transfers

The site is served over HTTPS and access to enquiries is limited to the person who answers them. Our service providers may store data in the United States or other countries; where required, they provide appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Children

This site and our services are for businesses. They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
